Evaluate QR scans with AI: Ask questions about your own statistics
What the statistics contain
Same-QR counts how often each dynamic code was scanned, and remembers when it was created and how often its target was changed. Data about the people scanning is not included. The counting becomes meaningful through good segmentation: one code per table, branch, poster, or advertising medium.
Access for the assistant
For QR code evaluation, an assistant does not need write access. You connect ChatGPT and Claude.ai via connector and OAuth. Coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex receive a "read only" key, so they only see the read tools.
Good questions about the numbers
- "Which five codes were scanned most frequently in total?"
- "Compare the scans of the codes with the label Branch City Center and Branch Station."
- "Which codes have never been scanned?"
- "Which codes still point to the old website?"
Codes that are never scanned are a hint to investigate: Is the stand still there? Is the code too small or poorly lit?
Compare campaigns
Prepare campaigns easily: one code per promotional medium and a shared label. After the campaign, you ask: 'How many times were the codes with the label Autumn Campaign scanned, broken down by poster, flyer, and table stand?' Because the statistics provide sums, you save a baseline before the campaign if you only want to see the campaign period.
Limitations of the analysis
- Scans are not revenue and not satisfaction.
- Small numbers fluctuate significantly. A difference of a few scans tells you little.
- A code at a busy location will be scanned more often without being better.
- Always have the numbers shown to you that the assistant relies on when drawing conclusions.
Conclusion: why Same-QR
Same-QR provides honest, data-minimal numbers and makes them accessible to assistants, via Connector or read key, in every plan. This way, you ask questions about your codes instead of sifting through tables, and quickly recognize which stand, which poster, and which flyer works.
Try it yourself: sign up for free at sameqr.com. Two dynamic QR codes are free forever, no credit card needed, the paid plans can be cancelled monthly, and your guests never see ads when they scan.
Frequently asked questions
Your codes with names, goals, labels, and scan numbers. Same-QR does not collect personally identifiable data about scanners.
Not with a read key. It then only sees the reading tools.
The statistics provide totals per code. For evaluations by time or behavior on the website, web analytics is the right tool.
