Change the daily special via chat: One sentence to the assistant instead of logging in on a laptop
How it works so far
Anyone who wants to change the daily special usually does it like this: Rewrite the chalkboard, perhaps place a note in the menu, and if there is an online menu, log in on the laptop in the evening. This last step often gets left behind in daily life. Then the online menu still shows yesterday's offer.
At Same-QR, the daily special appears at the top of the hosted menu. It can be changed independently of the rest of the menu, and the QR code at the table remains the same.
How it works with an assistant
With an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude, the login becomes a sentence. To do this, you connect the assistant once to the MCP server of Same-QR at https://sameqr.com/api/mcp. The login is handled via OAuth: You log in to Same-QR and grant access. During login, check the box "Also create and change texts", otherwise the assistant can only read. After that, the assistant can edit your menu.
From then on, you type or dictate on your mobile phone what is available today, and the assistant enters it. This can be done between two orders, without a laptop and without searching for menus.
Example instructions
- "Daily special today: Pumpkin cream soup and chicken drumstick with rice, together 12.90."
- "Remove yesterday's daily special and instead write: Fish of the day based on availability, please ask the service."
- "The daily special is sold out. Replace it with: Unfortunately sold out today, available again tomorrow."
- "Show me the daily special as it currently appears online."
The important additional request is: "Show it to me before you save." This way, you can see what the assistant understood.
Control after the change
A quick glance is sufficient, but it should be:
- Scan the QR code at the table and read the daily special on your mobile phone.
- Check whether the price is correct and spelled correctly.
- For new dishes, add the allergens in the additional line. The business remains responsible for this.
- Ensure that the assistant has only changed the daily special and not the rest of the menu.
If you notice an error, correct it in the same conversation: "The price is wrong, it is 13.90."
When the dashboard is better
For the daily special, the chat is fast. For larger changes, the dashboard is more clear: a new category, a completely new seasonal menu, the design. There you see the entire menu at once and change it specifically.
If menus are to alternate by time, such as lunch menu and evening menu, time control from the Pro tariff is the right way. A code then redirects to the correct menu based on time or day of the week, without anyone having to change anything.
Conclusion: why Same-QR
With Same-QR, your daily special is at the top of the menu and changed in one sentence, in the dashboard or in the chat with your assistant. The code at the table remains the same, and from Pro, time control even switches between lunch and evening menus automatically.
