Automation for Agencies: Manage customer QR codes via agent, step by step
Where the click work arises
Automation for agencies pays off where work for each customer follows the same process: Codes for a new campaign, a menu for a new gastro customer, the switch after a relaunch, the monthly report. Same-QR offers customer projects in the Agentur plan, up to 1,000 codes and 5,000 API enquiries per hour.
Step 1: Create customer projects
A project is a customer with a name and up to 10 websites; a website belongs to exactly one project. Create projects in the dashboard or have them created: "Create a customer project Bäckerei Hofer with the website baeckerei-hofer.at."
Step 2: Connect the agent
Create a key in the dashboard under Account, "Access for CLI, scripts and agents", and set it as SAMEQR_API_KEY. Then connect your coding agent, such as Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http sameqr https://sameqr.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $SAMEQR_API_KEY"For Cursor and Codex, "sameqr mcp" shows the appropriate entries. Those who prefer scripting use the command line sameqr.
Step 3: Hand over the routine to the agent
- "Create three codes for the project Bäckerei Hofer: Schaufenster, Theke, Flyer, all with the target on the action page and the label Herbst 2026."
- "Create a menu for the project Gasthof Löwen and read the menu from these two photos. Do not publish."
- "Which codes in the project Autohaus Berger still point to addresses of the old website?"
With the CLI, you assign directly during creation:
sameqr projekte list
sameqr qr create --name "Hofer Schaufenster" --url https://baeckerei-hofer.at/aktion --projekt <projekt-id> --label <label-id>Step 4: Automated reporting
For reporting, a script receives its own key with "read only" access. Once a month, it backs up the status of all codes; comparing it with the previous month yields the scans for the month:
sameqr qr list --json > bericht-$(date +%Y-%m).jsonStep 5: Team approvals
- What customers or their guests see is approved by a person: menus, campaign pages, target changes for printed codes.
- The agent displays a plan before making changes to existing codes.
- Deletion only after explicit confirmation.
- Each purpose gets its own key with a name and validity period, revoked when no longer needed.
Conclusion: why Same-QR
Same-QR is a tool for agencies that want to grow without clicking more: client projects, 1,000 codes, 5,000 API requests per hour, MCP server and CLI in the Agentur plan, cancellable monthly. The agent handles the routine, the approval remains with you.
