QR TIGER: CSV export and import in Same-QR
What QR TIGER exports
According to QR TIGER product updates (as of October 2026), there are two ways for the QR TIGER export: Scan data can be downloaded as CSV from the statistics, and code images are collected as a ZIP file. The column names of the CSV file are not publicly documented. Check the file after downloading: If it contains the name and destination of each code, you can use it as a basis.
- Scan data: CSV from the statistics.
- Code images: collected as a ZIP file.
- List of all codes with destinations: not described separately.
Assembling the code list
For the move, you need the name, the destination, and for the bridge the qr1.be link for each code. If something is missing in the export file, you add it from your account. With few codes, creating a new spreadsheet is often faster than reconstructing someone else's file.
If you no longer know which printed code belongs to which entry: take a photo of the code and upload it in Same-QR under “Read a QR image”. Same-QR reads what is in the code, i.e. the old short link. Where that short link redirects to, you can see in your old provider’s account.
Preparing columns for Same-QR
- Rename the column with the code name to "Name".
- Rename the column with the destination to "Target URL".
- Optionally a column "Labels", multiple labels separated by a vertical bar (|).
- Delete all remaining columns, especially those with addresses like the qr1.be link, so that the import reads the correct column as the destination.
- Save the file as "CSV UTF-8".
You keep the qr1.be link in a separate copy of the spreadsheet. You will need it shortly for the bridge.
Import and verification
In the dashboard, under “Many codes at once”, you will find “Import a spreadsheet”. Download the template there, enter your codes and upload the file again. The template has three columns: Name, Target URL and Labels. Comma and semicolon both work as separators; separate several labels with a vertical bar (|). Labels that do not exist yet are created during the import. CSV import is part of the Start plan and above.
Afterwards, you check samples using your mobile phone and compare the number of codes with your list. The number of codes is limited by the plan: Start 25, Pro 150, Agentur 1,000.
The easiest way is the migration assistant under Dashboard → “QR codes” → “Move from another provider”: it reads your list as a CSV or Excel file, lets you assign the columns name, destination URL, old short link and labels, and creates the codes, as many as your plan allows. Afterwards you download a list “old short link → new Same-QR link”, which is exactly what you need for the bridge. An overview of switching is at sameqr.com/wechseln/en.
Set up the bridge
Now, while the plan is active, you change the destination of each dynamic code in QR TIGER to the corresponding Same-QR link. According to the FAQ, dynamic codes no longer work after the plan expires, and data is retained for at most one year. Therefore, save scan data and images before you cancel.
For later: At Same-QR, "Export all" always exports the entire list as CSV with Name, Destination URL, and Labels, in every plan.
Frequently asked questions
Only if it contains Name and Destination and you rename the columns to Name and Target URL. Delete all other columns with addresses beforehand.
Not for the migration; Same-QR generates new images. However, they help you determine which print corresponds to which code.
Generally no. Save the statistics before cancellation with the old provider, as far as they offer an export. In Same-QR, the count begins with the first scan via the new code.
CSV import is included in the Start plan and upwards. With the free plan, you create two codes manually.
