QRCodeChimp: Export codes and import into Same-QR
What QRCodeChimp exports
According to the QRCodeChimp pricing page (as of October 2026), there are two ways to export from QRCodeChimp: downloading statistics as an Excel file starting from Pro, and exporting all code URLs, which the pricing page mentions in connection with NFC. The column names are not publicly documented. Open the files and check whether the name and destination of each code are included.
- Statistics: Excel file, starting from Pro.
- Code URLs: export according to the pricing page.
- Columns: not publicly described, so check yourself.
Assembling the code list
For the move, you need the name, destination, and for the bridge, the old short link for each code. If anything is missing, you add it from the account. With few codes, creating a new table is often faster than rebuilding an export file.
If you no longer know which printed code belongs to which entry: take a photo of the code and upload it in Same-QR under “Read a QR image”. Same-QR reads what is in the code, i.e. the old short link. Where that short link redirects to, you can see in your old provider’s account.
Prepare table for Same-QR
- Open the Excel file and create a copy.
- Rename the column with the code name to "Name", and the column with the destination to "Target URL".
- Optionally a column "Labels", multiple labels separated by a vertical bar (|).
- Delete all other columns, especially those containing the old short link.
- Save as "CSV UTF-8" using "Save As".
Import and verification
In the dashboard, under “Many codes at once”, you will find “Import a spreadsheet”. Download the template there, enter your codes and upload the file again. The template has three columns: Name, Target URL and Labels. Comma and semicolon both work as separators; separate several labels with a vertical bar (|). Labels that do not exist yet are created during the import. CSV import is part of the Start plan and above.
Then check the number and scan samples. The number of codes is limited by the plan: Start 25, Pro 150, Agentur 1,000.
The easiest way is the migration assistant under Dashboard → “QR codes” → “Move from another provider”: it reads your list as a CSV or Excel file, lets you assign the columns name, destination URL, old short link and labels, and creates the codes, as many as your plan allows. Afterwards you download a list “old short link → new Same-QR link”, which is exactly what you need for the bridge. An overview of switching is at sameqr.com/wechseln/en.
Set up the bridge
While your plan is active, set the destination of each code on QRCodeChimp to the new Same-QR link. According to the QRCodeChimp pricing page (as of October 2026), upon falling back to the free plan: All dynamic codes except the last 10 are paused. For these 10 codes, the bridge can therefore remain active even without a subscription; you replace all others before you cancel.
For later: With Same-QR, you can download the entire list as CSV at any time using “Export all”, in every plan.
Frequently asked questions
First save it as CSV and rename the columns to Name and Target URL. Delete all other columns with addresses.
According to the pricing page, the Excel download of the statistics is available from Pro. However, you can also create the list for import manually.
Generally no. Save the statistics before cancellation with the old provider, as far as they offer an export. In Same-QR, the count begins with the first scan via the new code.
CSV import is included in the Start plan and above. In the free plan, you create two codes manually.
