Uniqode CSV Export: How to import your codes into Same-QR
The export in Uniqode
According to Uniqode's help centre (article on mass operations, as of October 2026), the code list can be exported as CSV. For the Uniqode CSV export, the help centre lists these columns: QR Code ID, QR Code Name, Organization, QR Code URL, Destination URL, QR Code Type, Owner email ID, Creation Date & Time, Labels, Frame Text, Scans. Download the file and keep the original unchanged.
Which columns you need
| Column in the Uniqode export | For Same-QR |
|---|---|
| QR Code Name | becomes "Name" |
| Destination URL | becomes "Target URL" |
| Labels | remains "Labels" (check separator) |
| QR Code URL | delete, but keep in a copy for the bridge |
| Scans | delete, use for sorting first |
| all others | delete |
Why the QR Code URL must be removed: Same-QR's import recognizes the destination column by name. If another column with an address is present in the file, it might be read as the destination, causing the new code to point to the old short link.
Restructure the file for Same-QR
- Open a copy of the export file in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.
- Rename columns: QR Code Name → Name, Destination URL → Target URL.
- Delete all other columns; only Name, Target URL, and Labels remain.
- Check labels: For Same-QR, separate multiple labels in a single cell with a vertical bar (|).
- Optionally sort by scans and exclude codes with no usage.
- Save as „CSV UTF-8“.
Import and verification
In the dashboard, under “Many codes at once”, you will find “Import a spreadsheet”. Download the template there, enter your codes and upload the file again. The template has three columns: Name, Target URL and Labels. Comma and semicolon both work as separators; separate several labels with a vertical bar (|). Labels that do not exist yet are created during the import. CSV import is part of the Start plan and above.
Afterward, verify the number of codes and scan samples. The number of codes is limited by the plan: Start 25, Pro 150, Agentur 1,000.
The easiest way is the migration assistant under Dashboard → “QR codes” → “Move from another provider”: it reads your list as a CSV or Excel file, lets you assign the columns name, destination URL, old short link and labels, and creates the codes, as many as your plan allows. Afterwards you download a list “old short link → new Same-QR link”, which is exactly what you need for the bridge. An overview of switching is at sameqr.com/wechseln/en.
Mass change as a bridge
You are now redirecting the printed Uniqode codes to Same-QR. The new short links are provided to you by the migration assistant as a list "old short link → new Same-QR link" after creation. If you imported via a spreadsheet, "Export all" helps: The CSV has an ID column, and the short link for each code is sameqr.com/r/ followed by that ID. Assign each Uniqode code its corresponding Same-QR link by name. According to Uniqode's help centre, destinations can be changed collectively via CSV or Google Sheets starting from the PRO plan; Uniqode describes the format for this in its help centre.
After that, you scan some printed codes. According to the help centre, Uniqode codes become inactive when the subscription expires. The bridge remains valid until then.
