Automatically process enquiries from the contact form

Where the enquiries come from

Same-QR has a "Contact" template for hosted guest pages. Guests send enquiries through this, for example for a Christmas party, a birthday, or a group. They reach the page via a QR code at the table, on the door, or on the flyer. The enquiries are stored in your Same-QR account, with the newest first.

Step 1: Create a read key

A "read only" key is sufficient for retrieval. You create it in the dashboard under Account, "Access for CLI, scripts and agents", and store it as the environment variable SAMEQR_API_KEY.

Step 2: Retrieve enquiries

With the command line sameqr, one command is enough. The page address, here contact/gasthof-zum-loewen, shows you “sameqr seite list”:

sameqr seite anfragen contact/gasthof-zum-loewen
sameqr seite anfragen contact/gasthof-zum-loewen --json > anfragen.json

It works the same way via the REST API, with a GET request to /api/v1/seiten/contact/gasthof-zum-loewen/anfragen.

Step 3: Forward into your own workflows

  • Into a spreadsheet that the team uses for group bookings.
  • Into a customer relationship management system, if it has an interface for this.
  • As a daily summary via email to the person managing parties.

Test every process with a separate test request via the form before relying on it.

Summarize with an assistant

An assistant like ChatGPT or Claude with Same-QR as a connector reads enquiries directly in the conversation:

  • "Which enquiries have come in via the contact form since Monday? Summarize each in one sentence."
  • "Which enquiries concern parties in December?"
  • "Write me a draft response for the enquiry about the company party."

You read the draft, adjust it, and send it yourself. You only confirm appointments, menus, or prices if you have verified them.

Data protection for enquiries

Enquiries contain personal data: names, phone numbers, email addresses, sometimes hints about allergies. Same-QR also instructs the assistant to show them only to the account holder. Only transfer them to systems suitable for this purpose, do not keep them longer than necessary, and check the provider's terms with assistants. It is best to clarify legal questions with expert advice.

Conclusion: why Same-QR

With Same-QR, you get not only a contact form behind a QR code but also access to the enquiries: in the dashboard, via command line, via API, or in conversation with your assistant. This way, no enquiry for the next party is lost.

Which key do I need to retrieve the enquiries?

A "read only" key from the dashboard.
