Same-QR on your phone: Manage QR codes and menus without an app

Bild von Unsplash

Most menu changes don’t happen at the desk, but during service: the Schnitzel is sold out, the supplier has raised the price, or the kitchen closes early on a holiday. That is why the mobile view of Same-QR is built like an app, with a fixed bottom bar and large buttons. You don’t need to install anything. Just open sameqr.com in your browser and log in.

No app download required

Same-QR runs in Safari, Chrome, and any other modern browser. This offers two advantages: you can access it instantly on any phone, including a colleague’s, and there are no updates to install. If you use Same-QR frequently, you can add the page to your home screen via the browser’s share menu.

The bottom bar

On your phone, the same bar is always at the bottom:

  • Codes: all QR codes, change destination, download
  • Menus: edit your menus and pages
  • Statistics: scans at a glance
  • Account: your plan and account settings
  • More: Create and scan a website, vCards, and all other areas

Locked features remain visible and tell you which plan they require, instead of simply not responding.

Change the menu during service

When you open a menu, the mobile editor has its own bar at the bottom with the save status, “Preview”, and “Publish”. There are three ways to make changes:

  • Tap in the preview: Tap on a text or price, and an input sheet slides up from the bottom.
  • By voice: In the “What should change?” field, you can say into the microphone, for example, “The Schnitzel is out today.” You see the change beforehand and save it with a tap (available from Gastro Starter).
  • Via the form: for new dishes, categories, opening hours, and allergens.

The editor lists any missing required fields at the top. A tap jumps directly to the field.

Scan with the camera

The fastest way to get a new paper menu onto your phone is via “Take photo”. Photograph each page straight from above, up to seven at a time. Same-QR extracts the dishes and prices, you review them, and add them to the menu.
