A Bitcoin-type QR code encodes a wallet address directly into a scannable format. Customers open their wallet app, scan the code, and the address is automatically correctly filled out — without the risk of typing errors.
Fixed Amount or Free Choice
Optionally, a fixed amount can be set in the Same-QR dashboard, for example for a donation box or a stand price. Without an amount, the payer decides themselves how much to send.
Important to Know
- Check the wallet address regularly — update it in the dashboard when the address changes
- For high amounts, it's recommended to have an additional manual confirmation of the address
- The QR code can be used on invoices, at the cash register, or on donation plaques
Frequently asked questions
Yes, the address can be updated at any time in the Same-QR dashboard, the printed QR code remains valid.
Currently, Same-QR supports Bitcoin addresses. For other payment types like PayPal, there is a separate QR code type.
