qr1.at alternative: what to watch out for when switching
Why people leave qr1.at
The only provider in the comparison that promises that codes remain after cancellation — provided at least one year was paid. Monthly payments are not available for this. This is not a criticism — it is a pricing decision by the provider. Only it does not fit every use case, and exactly there projects fail when the codes are already printed.
Fairly speaking, it includes: white-label platform, landing pages, team rights and a promise for the time after cancellation. Those who need this will not find a replacement in a cheaper alternative, but a step back.
What an alternative has to deliver
- Codes in total instead of monthly quota, so a campaign is not held back by the counter.
- No scan limit, so success does not lead to a block.
- Monthly cancellable at the advertised price, without a yearly contract as a condition.
- No advertising between scan and destination.
- Vector file for printing, without extra cost.

The switch itself
Technically, a switch means: creating new codes, taking over targets, and reprinting. The printed pattern contains the short address of the old provider and cannot be rewritten. Those with only a few codes in circulation can switch in the afternoon. For large print runs, the honest advice: first clarify your own domain, then print — then the next switch is free.
For the comparison to be meaningful, the other side must be included: A building block for target pages, forms for lead capture, digital business cards as a separate product, team rights and an API access does not offer Same-QR. Those who need that are better served by the larger providers — those who need the code itself, reliable and without limits, are with us.
Frequently asked questions
The 2 codes of the free plan remain and are scannable. In addition, with every provider of dynamic codes: the redirection runs at the provider's end, without access, the code leads to nothing. For signs that hang for decades, a static code is the safer choice.
Yes, in every plan including the free one. A scan is a redirect and costs fractions of a cent — a cap would be a sales barrier, not a technical requirement. Automated bulk retrieval is excluded, which does not generate real scans.
In the paid plans unlimited. In the free plan 3 times per code; additionally, destination changes are unlimited during the first 30 days after registration. The number of codes and all other features follow the plan you booked, during the trial as well.
