Multiple locations, one account: Create businesses and assign menus

If you run more than one location, you know the confusion: three menus, five QR codes, and which table stand belongs to which location? In Same-QR, you assign each menu and each QR code to a specific business. Each business has its own pages, its own design, and its own codes, all in one account with a single login.

Who this is for

  • Restaurant owners with two to five locations, such as a restaurant, café, and bar
  • Small chains with a consistent presence at multiple locations
  • Businesses with side ventures, for example a pub plus catering or a farm shop

Multiple locations are included in Gastro Expert (€39.90 excl. VAT per month). This plan includes everything from Gastro Pro for up to five locations: 20 QR codes and up to five pages per location, time-based scheduling, table QR codes, and all languages. Agencies managing client projects use the Marketing plans for this purpose.

Create businesses

You can find them in the dashboard under “Venues”. Use “+ Venue” to create a separate venue for each location, enter the “Venue name”, and tap “Create venue”. Optionally, you can add the location’s website.

Under “All venues”, you can then see all venues with their QR codes. If you open a specific venue, the sections will display only that venue’s digital menus and codes.

Assign menus

  • 1. Open the venue and go to the “Menus” tab.
  • 2. Use “New menu” to create a menu directly within this venue.
  • 3. Menus not yet assigned to any venue appear under “Not assigned to any venue”. You can edit them as usual.
  • 4. Use “Assign to this venue” or the “Choose venue …” option to link them to the correct venue.

If you delete a venue, its menus only lose their assignment. Their content remains intact, and you can assign them to another venue.

QR codes in the correct venue

New QR codes are assigned to the venue that is currently open. The QR code that Same-QR automatically creates when you first publish a digital menu is also placed in that menu’s venue. If a code is in the wrong venue, move it using “Move to another venue”. The printed QR code remains valid and continues to point to the same destination.

Uniform yet individual

Each venue has its own menus. This means:

  • a unique design, cover photo, and logo if the locations have distinct identities
  • or the same design and brand color everywhere for a consistent chain appearance
  • Custom opening hours, daily specials, and category-specific time slots
  • Custom languages, tailored to the guests at each location

When you open a location, “Statistics” shows its most-scanned QR codes. This lets you compare where the digital menu is used most.

Conclusion

With multiple locations in one account, you keep the menus and QR codes for each site neatly separated yet within reach. One login, one subscription, up to five venues. You can start for free on sameqr.com and set up your first venue; additional locations are available with Gastro Expert.
